About this wildlife art painting: This exclusive fine art painting titled “Vantage Point” is of a rescued Bald Eagle that has reclaimed her power and confidence. I first met this beautiful bird you may have come to know through the painting titled “Immature Bald Eagle” in the fall of 2000. I was at the Toronto Zoo watching the free flying bird show. After the show, I met “Wambli” and was captivated by her story. Her handler shared that she was a rescue from northern Ontario. She had been taken from her nest as a chick and confined to a small cage in a garage and poked with sticks.

Her beauty and strength were obvious, but so too was a vulnerability and innocence that emanated from within her. Learning all that she had survived, I wanted to continue the story and chose to paint this powerful pose in homage to her.

Watching this stunning Eagle fly is an epic sight to see. She possesses a powerful seven foot wing span. If you have the opportunity, I would encourage you to watch her fly in the free flying bird show.
